1About The Programme
Deemcee caters to children aged 5 to 12 years old. We have three programmes across 6 Grades: Kiddo Emcee (Grade 1 & 2), Kids Emcee (Grade 3 & 4), and Superkids Emcee (Grade 5 & 6). Each level is carefully designed around the developmental needs and learning styles of children in that grade.
Deemcee operates across 5 countries: Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, with 50+ centres in total.
Deemcee was founded by Dr. Elaine Loo, a double PhD holder specialising in education and curriculum development. Dr. Elaine Loo has dedicated her career to understanding how children develop communication confidence, and the Deemcee curriculum reflects her research-backed approach to children's educational development.
2Classes & Logistics
We deliberately keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of 6 students per class. This ensures every child gets meaningful practice time, individual attention from the educator, and the benefit of a supportive peer group. Small class sizes are one of the most important factors in our programme's effectiveness.
Classes run once per week, with each session lasting 1 hour. This weekly cadence allows students to practise and consolidate what they've learned between sessions without overwhelming family schedules.
Yes! We strongly encourage new families to attend a trial class before committing to a full term. The trial class gives your child a genuine feel for the Deemcee environment, teaching style, and peer group, and gives you the opportunity to see our programme in action. Contact your nearest Deemcee centre to arrange a trial class.
Most Deemcee centres offer both weekday and weekend class options to accommodate different family schedules. The specific timetable varies by centre. Contact your nearest centre for current class times.
Our curriculum is designed with some flexibility for missed classes. We recommend contacting your centre coordinator as soon as possible if your child will be absent. Some centres offer make-up class arrangements and your centre will advise on their specific policy.
3Results & Progress
Most parents notice visible changes within 4 to 8 weeks of their child starting Deemcee. The first signs are typically increased willingness to speak up at home, more eye contact in conversations, and reduced anxiety about upcoming school presentations. More dramatic transformations such as volunteering to host events or winning school competitions typically emerge after one to two full terms.
Our educators track each child's development across multiple dimensions including voice projection, eye contact, speech structure, vocabulary, confidence level, and stage presence. Parents receive regular verbal updates from educators, and Challenge Day at the end of each term is the most visible demonstration of term-long progress. Your child's transformation is something you can see and hear.
Shy children are actually among those who benefit most dramatically from Deemcee. Our small class sizes, warm and encouraging teaching approach, and Kaizen method of gradual progression are all specifically suited to helping shy children build confidence at a pace that feels safe. Many of our most celebrated graduates were among our shyest students when they first enrolled.
Absolutely, and this is fundamental to our curriculum design. We use occupational thematic learning, meaning children practise speaking in real-world professional contexts such as news presenter, doctor, tour guide, and event host. These contexts make skills directly transferable. Parents regularly tell us about improvements in classroom participation, social situations, and even family interactions.
4Fees & Enrolment
Fees vary by centre and location. We encourage you to contact your nearest Deemcee centre directly for current pricing information. We offer a trial class option so you can experience the programme before committing to a full term fee.
Some centres charge a one-time registration fee for new students. This covers your child's enrolment materials and programme resources. Contact your nearest centre for their specific fee structure.
Many Deemcee centres offer sibling discounts and periodic promotional offers. The best way to find out about current promotions is to contact your nearest centre directly or follow our social media channels for announcements.
5Parents' Peace of Mind
All Deemcee educators undergo structured certification in our proprietary curriculum and teaching methodology. This includes child developmental psychology principles, the Kaizen approach to skill building, age-appropriate teaching techniques, and specific confidence speaking pedagogy. Our teachers are not just good speakers. They are trained educators who understand how children learn.
Child safety is our absolute priority. All Deemcee centres maintain appropriate supervision ratios, safe classroom environments, and clear protocols for child welfare. Our educators are carefully selected and background-checked. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of emotional pressure or public humiliation. Our entire approach is built on positive, encouraging interaction.
We recommend an initial conversation with your nearest centre coordinator to discuss your child's specific needs and determine how we can best support them.
For many children, having parents present during class times can increase performance anxiety, hence we advise parents to receive updates through regular contact via WhatsApp. Your centre coordinator will advise on their specific approach and what works best for different age groups.
